Benjy's adventures in eating

So, Herman came home yesterday, and we had a family meal with Benjy, Herman and us looking on. Benjy has quite the appetite after being sick early in the week, and he's getting very good at finding his mouth with the spoon. But being 7 months old, he's not so deft in the clean hands department :-)...

Here are a couple of videos of his adventures yesterday. By the way, the comment about Herman finding tylenol on the floor is a JOKE. Admittedly in poor taste. So to speak.

Herman has a close call

We've had quite the week with Herman. On Tuesday, he ransacked Benjy's diaper bag and may have eaten some tylenol that was in there. Tylenol is extremely toxic to dogs, and could cause liver failure, so we took him to the hospital, where he stayed for 3 days. His latest liver panel was mostly normal, so he came home last night and was very peppy. It was great to have him home; we missed him a lot, and the thought that he might not make it was devastating.He's still a little shaky, but we're hoping that's just the after effects of all the drugs he took at the hospital.

Of course, all this comes just as we're about to go on a much, much needed vacation. We've decided to go tomorrow, provided he's still doing alright. He's having another liver panel on Monday, which will tell us much more.

We love the guy like the first son that he is, and are really pulling for him. Overall, it has been a no-good, horrible, very bad week. We're hoping we're on the upswing now.
